When you register to become a market research participant with InFocus Research Group, Inc., your contact information and other demographic information is added to our database of potential market research participants so that we can contact you when a market research study is being conducted that you may qualify for.
To protect the identity and confidentiality of participants in our database, InFocus Research Group, Inc. does not resell or redistribute information linked with your personal identification to anyone outside of our company without your expressed permission. Additionally, InFocus complies with all United States market research industry codes and standards.
Categories of information we collect:
The information we collect may change from time to time based on the requirements of the research project, but the following are examples of the categories:
Contact Info, such as name, email address, mailing address, phone numbers.
Business Related information to determine if your business meets the criteria of our research project such as number of employees, annual sales, number of locations.
Demographic information such as age, race, ethnicity, gender, marital status, income, education, and employment, and other information such as political and religious affiliation, health related information and sexual orientation. We are often seeking a representative mix of your geographic area or specific county and will limit our search to a specific number of individuals who meet such demographics.
IP Addresses:
In addition to the categories of information mentioned above, we also collect IP addresses when you interact with our website or online platforms. An IP address is a unique identifier assigned to each device connected to a network. We collect IP addresses for purposes such as analyzing website traffic, preventing fraudulent activity, and enhancing the security of our systems.
The minimum information required to be a member of our database is first name, last name, date of birth, mailing address, email address, phone number, occupation, political affiliation, educational attainment.
Additional information will help us produce a closer match prior to our reaching out to you for qualification, but is not necessary for you to be registered.
Sharing of information:
We will not share the personal information as outlined above with a third party unless it is a necessary component of the research project you have qualified for and have agreed to participate in.
Sharing of IP Addresses:
We do not share IP addresses with third parties except as necessary for the purposes mentioned above or as required by law.
Length of data retention:
Information collected is typically retained for a period of 10 years from the date of your last participation, but can vary based on obligations within our research projects.
Data Security
Our websites and application housing personal information we collect use industry standard encryption. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place industry standard physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to help safeguard the information we collect.

While extremely rare, InFocus Research Group, Inc. may share, distribute, or otherwise release personally identifiable information it collects to a third party when it becomes a necessary component of research you have qualified for and have agreed to participate in.
